Brooklyn, NY – June 23, 2008 –Developed by JELLYNYC, the inter-media collaborative specializing in creating one of a kind experiences for audiences and partners, the Pool Parties made a huge splash in New York for the last two years drawing an incomparable music lineup and energetic crowd. This year’s final lineup tops them all with very special performances by The Breeders, Ronnie Spector, The Hold Steady, Liars, Deerhunter, The Black Lips, MGMT and many other great artists.

The Pool Parties kick off at the historic McCarren Park Pool this Sunday, June 29 at 2 PM with indie rock favorites, The Hold Steady, and run every Sunday throughout the Summer until August 24th. Formerly a dilapidated, drained pool in Brooklyn, JELLYNYC transformed the space two Summers ago to create the first annual year of Pool Parties. After receiving tremendous community support from a wide cross-section, the team brought local supporters, such as media sponsor Sixpoint Lager, Hoegaarden, Budlight, Dewar's, Redbull, TopShop, TopMan, Two Boots Brooklyn, Gibson, Spin, Scion, New York Magazine, KEXP, Fuze Beverages, Saucony, and Sesac on board to build on the momentum of the first two years and make the final year its best and brightest.

Over two years, JELLYNYC has hosted over 100,000 people for the free Sunday concerts in McCarren Park Brooklyn, and have had bands such as TV on the Radio, Blonde Redhead, Ted Leo and the Pharmacists, Band of Horses and more. We have also worked with such brands as Helio, Brooklyn Brewery, RedBull, Dewars, Coke, New York Magazine, Yaris and SPIN.com for this ground-breaking series. JELLYNYC also produced the legendary Boredoms 7.7.07 event at the Tobacco Warehouse for Nike and Vice Records. Beyond these marquee events, they have produced hundreds of shows for both our own brand and such companies as Heavy.com, Flavorpill, New York Magazine, Imeem.com, and The Tripwire.com. JELLYNYC's name is synonymous with style, creativity and uniqueness. We welcome all challenges and love the chance to showcase our particular brand of idea integration.
