In touring news, having just wrapped up a cross-country tour supporting Ra Ra Riot, which followed US Tours with The Kooks and We Are Scientists, the morning benders are at it once again. This time, in early 2009, they will be hitting up venues across the US (and Canada) on a co-headlining tour with The Submarines.

the morning benders’ debut album, ‘talking through tin cans’, hit streets in the US on May 6th, 2008 on +1 Records, to amazing reviews across the board. The benders have built a live base by touring like crazy over 2008 and will keep things moving in 2009 with this US Tour and the UK release of ‘talking through tin cans’ on March 2nd, 2009.

It’s been a big year for The Submarines as well, with their sophomore effort, ‘Honeysuckle Weeks’ receiving critical acclaim across the board.

The Submarines’ track 'You Me & the Bourgeoisie' was recently featured in Apple iPhone G3 TV advertisements worldwide. The track 'Xavia' was included in feature film Nick & Norah’s Infinite Playlist as well as its official soundtrack, and songs from ‘Honeysuckle Weeks’ were featured on hit shows including The Hills, Grey’s Anatomy, and Gossip Girl. The band recently wrapped up a European tour supporting Aimee Mann.
