THE JOY FORMIDABLE PREMIER NEW VIDEO FOR NEW SONG "AUSTERE"

Welsh indie-rock trio The Joy Formidable have premiered their newest video for their song "Austere," one of the tracks to be on their upcoming debut full-length The Big Roar, out on March 15th through Canvasback/Atlantic records. The video begins as a minimalist affair with a white background acting as a canvas for fantastic colors and facet, eventually becoming more and more colorful and detailed as the video and song progresses. The embed code for the video can be found below, and you can watch the video here:

The band produced The Big Roar themselves, with help from engineer Neak Menter.  They traveled to Los Angeles in summer of 2010 to mix it with Rich Costey (Muse, Foo Fighters, Glasvegas) who also produced new recordings of fan favorites "Whirring" and "Austere." The album's first single, "I Don't Want To See You Like This," is out now. The Village Voice called the song "one of the band's best offerings yet, a breakup song that looks forward to the other side of heartache, with racing guitars and thundering drums that seem engineered to snap both parts of the still-attached couple out of their sad state." "Austere" and "I Don't Want To See You Like This" are joined on the The Big Roar ten other beautiful, explosive new recordings.
