RocktheRabbit.com is now live
Music, Fashion, Bands and the Playboy Brand Come Together for Another Year
For the third year in a row, Playboy's Rock the Rabbit initiative will fuse rock, hip-hop, art and fashion in conjunction with Playboy magazine's annual March music issue (on newsstands and at www.rocktherabbit.com starting, Friday, February 13). Rock the Rabbit 2009 includes an impressive line-up of legendary artists, including Perry Farrell and Motley Crue, as well as other cutting-edge musicians across a variety of genres, as announced this week at Pitchfork, The Tripwire and XXL.
RTR BANDS FEATURED IN PLAYBOY MAGAZINE'S MARCH ISSUE AND ONLINE
Hitting newsstands on February 13th, Playboy's annual Music Issue features a fashion pictorial shot by legendary music photographer Mick Rock, with artists as wide-ranging as Perry Farrell, Motley Crue, MGMT, Pharrell Williams, Q-Tip, and The Kooks. Other artists featured as part of Rock the Rabbit 2009 are profiled online at www.rocktherabbit.com. The roster includes Montreal beat-masters A-Trak and Chromeo, indie darlings the morning benders, UK hip-hop wunderkind Lady Sovereign, and Norwegian electro-pop outfit Royksopp (view the artist list in its entirety below). The March issue also features a hilarious 20Q with the New York based, New Zealand bred Flight of the Conchords and a candid conversation with country superstar Kenny Chesney.
RTR BANDS DESIGN PLAYBOY T-SHIRTS
As part of this year's program, Rock the Rabbit artists will put their twist on the iconic Playboy Rabbit Head logo by creating limited edition t-shirt designs. Select styles from the Rock the Rabbit t-shirt collection are available for purchase at www.shopthebunny.com, the Playboy Store Las Vegas, and leading retailers around the world, with a portion of the proceeds going to a global charity.
