Pitchfork Media : “Sleepyhead’ may not be sleepy, but it's decidedly dreamy, a glistening array of woozy textures that call to mind both the atmospheric twee-scapes of A Sunny Day in Glasgow and the ecstatic seaside fantasias of Air France.” http://www.pitchforkmedia.com/node/142111
Nylon Magazine.com : “passion pit is more groundbreaking than a stampede of obese elephants” :http://www.nylonmag.com/?section=article&parid=1860
Stereogum : “Scott and I swung into Pianos last night to check in with electropop outfit Passion Pit. And clearly, someone's doing their work in that camp. The Boston band recently signed to Frenchkiss, and on the back of a mostly solid (and in the case of "You've Got My Number," very addictive) EP Chunk Of Change, they just closed out a residency at Pianos in the LES.” http://stereogum.com/archives/concert/passion-pit-pianos-nyc-82708_018011.html
Boston electro-pop upstarts Passion Pit have just finished recording their debut full length LP, and have recently given the fine folks at Fader TV an exclusive in the studio preview. The piece features fresh interviews with the band themselves, their producer Chris Zane (Les Savy Fav, The Walkmen & Asobi Seksu), and a magnificent 40+ children’s choir that will be featured on the stunning debut. In celebration of this studio triumph, the band will be starting a US and European tour this week that will run through March (SXSW Dates TBA). |
