Shiloe release …And Now the Screaming Starts EP

"A spike-riffed razorwire flossing throughout a hazy, postpunked underworld. " -Web In Front

"It’s dark and mysterious sound sucks you in and grabs your attention." -BeatCrave

"...And Now the Screaming Starts, is an indie rock exploration of sound that leads listeners into a dark and droning post-punk world." - Performer Magazine

“Slightly psychedelic sounding melodic and slightly frazzled America indie rock of a rather confident Black Rebel Motorcycle Club meets X nature.” - Organ Magazine

A three-piece led by founding members Ken Ramos (vocals/guitar) and Melissa Pleckham (bass), Shiloe combine the driving force of Sleater-Kinney with the atmosphere of Interpol, tied together with the roughness of Sonic Youth. Behind two EPs, Shiloe have caused a stir among some of the most influential tastemakers in music, including KROQ, Indie 103.1, “Buzz Bands” in the LA Times, KXLU, WOXY, and Filter magazine, who featured the band on a compilation earlier this year.

The band’s appeal certainly is not limited to the US, as they have received extensive airplay on RadioNowhere and BBC Radio Bristol in the UK, while being featured in the Mexican magazine Indie Rocks and headlining the Radio Alterno 2-year anniversary celebration in Mexico City. Their energetic live show made them finalists in the Zig Zag Live Club Tour sponsored by Spin and CMJ, and the band has played with the likes of Pretty Girls Make Graves, the Court and Spark, Mike Watt, and the Henry Clay People.

Shiloe has recently joined the New & Used Records family who is releasing their newest EP, … And Now the Screaming Starts.
